Online-Orders

Can I order your merchandise online as well?
Due to our company’s strategy we opted not to have an online-shop. You can purchase our merchandise in one of our Filialen (stores) only. Thank you for your understanding.

Merchandise Selection

What types of merchandise does TEDi offer?
TEDi offers a broad range of articles, which are available in our stores year around. Included are gifts, decoration, accessories, household items, toys, stationary, personal hygiene articles and cosmetics, do-it-yourself and home repair items, electronics, candy, beverages, linen, stockings and household textiles. Yes, our policy is “exchange with no questions asked”.

Gift Certificated

Can I purchase a TEDi gift certificate?
Unfortunately we do not offer gift certificates.

Battery Return

Can I dispose of empty batteries at TEDi?
You can certainly dispose of empty batteries at TEDi in Germany. Each German TEDi store provides containers for battery disposal.

Appliances

Where do I dispose of my old appliances?
Each city or community in Germany has collection points which will accept your old appliances free of charge. Please use this service and do not return your old appliances to our store.

Debit Card Payment

Can I pay with my EC-Card (debit card) at your store?
You can pay with your EC-Card (debit card) for purchases of five EURO and above at any TEDi store in Germany. In Austria we only accept Maestro-Cards.

Exchange

Can I exchange my merchandise at your stores?
You can exchange your purchase at any TEDi store without discussion.

Expansion in Germany

How many stores does the 1-Euro-Discount store TEDi currently have in Germany?
Currently there are more than 1.180 stores in Germany (Status April 2011). However, the number of stores constantly increses because on average, another new TEDi store is opened somewhere in Germany every two days. Our medium term objective is 2000 stores throughout Germany.

Expansion in Austria

How many stores does the 1-Euro-Discount store TEDi currently have in Austria?
The first store was opened on May, 2, 2011 in Graz-Andritz. Approximately 20 to 30 stores annually are projected.

Quality

What is the quality criterion at TEDi?
It is very important to TEDi that you receive quality merchandise for your money. TEDi has an internal quality assurance department, but also works closely with several independent institutions; amongst them, the renowned laboratory Dr. Graner in Munich. We try to ensure that no product which does not meet the valid regulations and strict TEDi guidelines is released to commerce. Detailed information is available here.

Can I apply to become a hauler for you?

Franchise

Can I become a franchisee with TEDi?
There is no franchise-system with TEDi. Our stores are operated autonomously
