help and hope: help for needy children
TEDi is aware of its social responsibility. In particular, the support of socially disadvantaged children is important to us. We therefore support since 2007 the German Foundation help and hope. The Foundation itself was founded in 2005. The focuses of the foundation’s work in Germany are set in the support of children regarding their future, their social status, their health, education and nutrition. In Herne, 2010, there was established the children’s meeting “help and hope 4 Kids”, which offers to children from the neighbourhood a warm lunch as well as help with homework.
Abroad, help and hope supports the improvement of living conditions of children in war zones and disaster areas as well as poverty eradication. Currently, the Foundation supports, for example, orphans in Marian Hill, South Africa. There, a ramshackle childcare for orphans has been rebuilt. In Lithuania, the Foundation supports in the city of Vilnius a home for homeless and disabled children.
