Green stores
40 % less emission of CO2, approx. 40 % less energy consumption in comparison to standard stores – with ist new generation of shopping stores, TEDi sends out a signal for the protection of the environment. TEDi has built its first “green shopping store” in Moordorf (East Frisia, Germany) and therefore supports sustainable building.
TEDi has been a partner of the GreenBuilding programme of the European Union since 12 February 2010. It is a certification programme for commercial property that conforms to the highest standards regarding energy efficiency and use of renewable energy.
The new branches have been built according to modern environmental implications
- Optimised insulation of the building envelop in wall, roof and floor
- Generation of heating energy by the use of a modern air/water heat pump
- Climate control through innovative cooling principle
- Efficient heat recovery through reuse of exhaust air
The CO2 savings amount to the emission of a medium-sized vehicle with a mileage of approx. 100,000 km per year.
In this way, TEDi helps to sustainably protect our environment and save resources.
